Zinc



Vitamins get a lot of attention these days: Vitamin B12 injections for energy, Vitamin C for pigmented skin, Vitamin A in retinoic acid form to rid of acne and the list goes on.  However, they aren't the only nutrients that our bodies need to have glowing skin. One of the most important minerals we need is zinc.  It helps repair damaged tissue and heal wounds (perfect if you're susceptible to breakouts and adult acne).  

Zinc helps to regulate the proteins in your body. Next to water, protein makes up the greatest portion of our body's weight.  Protein builds muscles, ligaments, tendons, organs, glands, nails, hair, body fluids and nearly all aspects of microscopic cellular machinery.  You can use zinc topically, but what I've started to do is take it orally.
