Taking protective measures during physical outdoor activities is critical to your skin's health.  Here are some valuable tips that will have your skin thanking you after your outdoor excursion.

  1. Choose a day cream that is vitamin-rich to feed your skin throughout your daily activities.  Vitamins B5, E and C are extremely nourishing and strengthening.
  2. Load up on anti-oxidants for breakfast to eliminate the opportunity for free radical damage.  Sprinkle cereals with berries or opt for spinach in your morning omelette.
  3. Use an evening serum that will magnify the power for your day cream.  Look for serums that have amino acids that create rejuvenating activity deep in the skin.
  4. Sun Protection Factor (SPF) is a must for outdoors year round.  The sun's harmful rays are still prevalent in the winter and fall.  If you're worried about a vitamin D deficiency increase the amount of fish oils in your daily diet.
  5. Just before you go outdoors, ensure you add a moisturizer that has anti-inflammatory properties to prevent skin irritation and soothe redness.  Look for a cream with calendula, a magic ingredient that stimulates healing and keeps skin thick.
